Pretty straightforward-looking wings, modeled after my OC Teren Miyu [

Although, they may as well be bat wings too lol
Loosely followed this tutorial:
[link] Since these wings lack feathers, I had to make mirror copies of the wings' fingers parts [brown] and leathery in-betweens [black] to hide all the wire and glue smooshed between.
So the entire thing is pretty thick, but sturdy from the wire so the wings are poseable and don't flap around so much. I've also added in two wires across the middle support where the straps are, which lessens how much they flap around. The wings themselves are less likely to tear off this way.
And I've also replaced the ribbon with clear elastic straps which I got from Joann's. You can use 1/4 inch braided elastic too, but in this case clear elastic works best since braided elastic doesn't come in any color but black and white.
Finally, the shine is from two types of varnish. The outer side [top] is coated in Gloss varnish so it's nice and shiny. The inner is coated in Satin varnish so it's a little duller but has a nice almost leathery look to it. The varnish adds to the overall wings' sturdiness, and they'll be able to take a fair beating around without the foam leaving behind evidence of scratches and the like.
From tip to tip, the wings span 24 1/2 inches across
